Crane, Craft and Home Expo
For the 40th Anniversary of the Monte Vista Crane Festival, the Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce will hold the Crane, Craft and Home Expo at the new Outcalt Event and Conference Center at the Ski-Hi Complex. Help celebrate the annual migration of sandhill cranes by selling your works of art, crafted jewelry, fiber ware, photography, carvings, fine baked goods, and so much more!
Fly the Coop 5K
New for this year's festival is a 5k Run/Walk for all ages and all abilities. The run will start from the Ski Hi Complex in Monte Vista at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 11. Registration fee is $25, and each participant will receive a long sleeved t-shirt. Medals for top finishers and ribbons for age group winners. Proceeds will benefit the Monte Vista Community Ambulance.
Wings Over Water @ Vali 3
We are very excited to announce that Wings Over Water is coming to the Vali 3 theater for our 40th Anniversary of the Monte Vista Crane Festival. Wings Over Water tells the story of the epic journeys of three amazing bird families – the Sandhill Crane, the Yellow Warbler and the Mallard Duck – with extraordinary footage of their fascinating behaviors. This exclusive engagement is FREE for all and sponsored by Ducks Unlimited. Showtimes are Friday 3/10 @ 7pm, Saturday 3/11 @ noon, and Sunday 3/12 @ 5pm. Don’t miss it!
